About Us
Ghana Girls Trip didn’t start as a business idea. It started as a calling.
For years, I led highly curated travel experiences to Ghana that included rare moments such as private meetings at the Office of the President, to traditional naming ceremonies led by Nana Yaa Asantewaa II. Those trips were powerful, provided access that most travelers never experience and they served their purpose.
As Ghana’s tourism industry has grown, I began to notice a shift. More trips, higher prices, and more emphasis on upscale experiences. While there is nothing wrong with that, it quietly shuts the door for others. Women who want to go, need to go, but simply can’t justify or afford the cost.
This version of Ghana Girls Trip was created for women who don’t need extras or perfection to experience Ghana in a real way. Women who are open to comfortable local hotels, full days, real conversations, and meaningful learning.
I want every Black woman to have the chance to experience Ghana and decide what it means for her. To know she has a place she can return to. A second home and a deeper understanding of herself.

Love,
Naomi A. Bonsu
