About Us
Ghana Girls Trip is not just another tour company. It is a sacred homecoming experience created for African American women who are ready to return to their roots with intention, dignity and joy. Every journey is designed to help you feel the fullness of Ghana. The history. The culture. The sisterhood. The welcome. What makes this experience truly one of a kind is the access, the authenticity and the depth of connection that no other trip offers.

When you join Ghana Girls Trip you are not just visiting Ghana. You are entering through the front door.
Our guests receive a level of cultural engagement that is rare in the Ghana Tourism world. You will have a private audience with the Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President, where you have the opportunity to speak, ask questions and represent the thousands of African Americans who dream of reconnecting with the motherland. It is a powerful moment to be seen, heard and welcomed at the highest level of leadership.

You will also be received by Nana Yaa Asantewaa II, Queen Mother of Ejisu and descendant of one of the most iconic women in African history. She personally conducts your naming ceremony, gives you an ancestral name and welcomes you into the Ashanti Royal Family. This experience is emotional, intimate and deeply affirming. It is something no other trip offers at this level of authenticity and respect.

Beyond these rare moments you will engage with cultural bearers, historians, artisans and leaders who open their homes, their stories and their hearts to you. You will stand at Assin Manso Slave River and feel the presence of your ancestors. You will walk through Elmina Castle with support and space to process. You will dance. Laugh. Reflect. Heal. And feel held through every moment.

What makes Ghana Girls Trip truly special is the host who guides you through all of this. Naomi is a Ghanaian American woman who walks in both worlds. She understands the longing, the questions and the emotional weight that many African American women carry when coming to Ghana for the first time. She also understands the culture, the traditions and the unspoken ways that make Ghana feel like home.
Her presence brings comfort. Her knowledge brings clarity. Her leadership creates safety. Her heart makes the journey unforgettable.

Ghana Girls Trip is more than travel. It is a return home, wrapped in luxury, culture and sisterhood. A space where you are welcomed, honored and celebrated. A journey that brings you closer to who you are and where you come from.
This is the homecoming you have always felt in your spirit. And it is waiting for you.
